Super Bowl

It's a super week here in Indy!  Our family spent last Saturday at the NFL Experience and Super Bowl Village.  Just thought I'd share some photos of our fair city, as we gear up for Sunday's big game.

Look up! See those people on top of that scaffolding? ...

Now do you see them?...

They're getting ready to do this...

Zip lining in the middle of the city. How fun! We headed inside here, the NFL Experience...

The whole family had fun punting, passing, kicking, catching and running the football. Not to brag or anything, but I made a field goal. Okay, it was only a 10 yarder, but still. The Ravens might need me :)

The Vince Lombardi trophy was in da house...

Need a cold one?  That's what's in this block of ice...

And, of course, it wouldn't be Indy without race cars...

The cars decorated for each NFL team...

The whole city is excited to be hosting this great event. We even made sure there was sunshine and temps nearing 60 yesterday and today... pretty unheard of in January!

So, tell me. Are you going to watch the Super Bowl? Leave me a comment and tell me who you're cheering for!

  1. I don't watch football at all. Hubby does though. Looks like a fun family day and your city is ready for the crowds.

  5. What a great time to be in such a great city. Having grown up in Indiana, and lived in Fishers after getting married, I'm so glad Indy is finally getting it's long overdue respect.Too bad we couldn't have gone all the way with the Colts and Peyton. Watching the excitement in Indy, from Virginia...

  7. How exciting to be living the city that is hosting the Super Bowl! I can tell you're proud of your city as you should be. I watched some national news coverage the other day where they showed a news anchor trying out the zip line. It looked amazing! I think that's great that you took your boys there. It's such a great thing for them to experience . I don't really watch football unless I have to. ha! Because I have a house full of boys, that means it's usually on the tv. However, I don't really get into it like they do. My husband has to work this Sunday, so I may not watch it. I would like the commercials though! Ha!

  13. I didn't know you were an Indiana girl too. How cool is that. I'm just 50 miles north of Indy. I have a daughter that lives in Indy and she will be going this Friday to enjoy all the fun. Looks like you all had a great time. Too bad we aren't playing. That would be so very awesome. Thanks for all your posts. I love your blog.

  14. sounds like you're all ready! Years ago, Toronto had the baseball all stars game and there was the same sort of excitement and events - no ziplining though.
