Winter White

Snow and ice have been falling all week.  Outside is covered in a coat of pure white...

And thanks to Sherwin Williams, inside the master bathroom is covered in a coat of "Pure White" ...

Goodbye yellow wallpaper.  Hello wainscoting.

We even got a sneak peak at part of the cabinetry that will be installed.

I love the way the white cabinetry looks against the blue floor tile.  (Even when the tile is covered in dust!)

Do not be alarmed by the cabinetry feet.  They haven't been attached yet.  We just stuck them under there to get an idea of how it would look.

So I'm wondering... if the wainscoting was painted "Pure White" and there was a snowstorm outside.  What will happen when the walls are painted "Sea Salt?"

  4. If painting the walls Sea Salt bring the ocean to your front door, them I'm painting my whole house Sea Salt! ;-)

Love the wainscoting - it's such a great way to add character to a room. And I love how it sort of wraps around you and makes you feel cozy - perfect for a bedroom :-)

Thanks for participating in my giveaway - Good Luck!

  5. Popped back over to reply to your comment about Sarah 101....

I know a lot of people who love Sarah don't get the show outside of Canada (like you!), which is why I try to post a recap each week. So thanks for letting me know that my post made you happy :-)

All of Sarah's sources are listed on the Sarah 101 web site, as well as pictures from each episode. The dresser in the nursery came from Chatelet in Toronto (www.chatelethome.com). They might have pictures of similar dressers on their web site.

As for painting your white & gold furniture, I say go for it! A fresh colour and new drawer handles will really give it new life :-)
