Guest Room Inspiration

I have to warn you (if you haven't already noticed), I have decorating A.D.D. I begin decorating one space in my house, and then something happens. I either get distracted by something in another room and focus my attention there, or I get stumped by a design decision and have to take a break from it.

I'm currently working on my mudroom... trying to choose between using a slab of granite that I have "inherited" or getting a remnant in a color that would work better with the room. So, as I ponder that decision, I'm turning my attention to decorating our guest bedroom.  When in doubt, move to another area of the house, right?

I'll show you some before and "during" photos of our guest room soon, but today I'd like to share some pretty bedrooms that are serving as my inspiration ...

Being the only girl in a house of 5 boys means I don't get to decorate any real frou frou rooms. So, the guest room is going to be the room for the girl I never had :)  I apologize in advance to any manly men who may be staying with us in the future.

  1. What I love about each and every room here is how incredibly inviting they each are, all thats missing is a semi cool summer breeze blowing through the linen window treatments and its perfection!! Loved this post!

  3. My husband does not enjoy fru-fru, so I have made my guest room what I would love to have for my own room. So now I can enjoy the pretty and he does not have to sleep in it.
    It's brilliant, me thinks!

  10. Did you ever get the feeling something was 'going around' in the blogosphere? I just did a post on beds/bedding/bedrooms and then read another of my favourite bloggers @ Savvy Souther Style, who did a post on her guest room and showed all these lovely beds and then I read yours......more pretty beds! Are we all just exhausted?!
